8. Schedule for Spring '09

This past week, we made our schedules for the spring of 2009. I'm pretty excited about getting this next semester started
Here is the general rundown of my schedule. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I have Human Biology, Western Civilization, and Intro to Computer Science. I also have Communication Research on Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday and Thursday I have New Testament, Chapel, and English Composition 2. I am really excited about next semester and I think I'm going to learn a lot. Get in touch with me and we'll see if we have any classes together. Until later, God bless!

7. R&R Anyone?

I'm pretty excited that there are only four more weeks until the end of the semester. Not only that, but there are only two week until Thanksgiving break. Don't mistake me, I'm having a great time at MC, but I'm about ready for a break!
Thanksgiving is going to be a great time. The weekend beforehand I'm going to the State-Arkansas game and then to the Third Day concert. We've got two days of classes after that. Then on Tuesday night I'm going down to Vancleave to having Thanksgiving with Trisha and her family. I'm then off to Alabama for more Thanksgiving with my family.
Now that I think of it, I don't know if Thanksgiving is going to be very relaxing or not! I'm going to have to make time to hang out with some of my friends later on in the week! Oh well, I still can't wait! Until later, God bless!

6. The Midterm

Let me start off by saying that I do not know how people keep a steady blog going all the time because we only have to do this once a week and I can't even do that. We just finished up the midterm, and wow am I glad that it's over. With tests, work, school, and church on top of all the tests, I'm going to crash as soon as this is all over.
All this is definitely teaching em to manage my time though. Judgment House was five nights in a row at my church and about five or six hours a night, so I definitely had to manage my time there. Another good thing about midterm time being over is that finals will be coming up soon and the end of the semester. I'm pretty stoked about that! Until next time, God bless!

5. The Long Two Weeks

The past two weeks have been incredibly long for me. There is just so much going on in my life right now. From classes to work and from church to friends, many things have arisen in my life over these two weeks.
I don't know exactly what yet, but I know that God is trying to show me many things through everything that is going on. I know many of you already know this, but if you don't, my roommate, Christian Schmidt, is in the hospital right now. I'm also having to learn to live on about half the money that I'm used to making, which isn't a problem, just an adjustment.
There are many other things going on right now; those are just a few. I won't get into the rest of it now, but there is a lot more going on. Even though it's a lot, I know that all of this is helping me grow more as a person, both physically and spiritually. I'm learning how to deal with issues that require a lot more maturity than I have been used to in the past, and I'm thankful for it. On a great note though, God has blessed me with an incredible girlfriend who has been extremely supportive and who has been praying for me through everything. 4. Just Keeping Up

Yet again, I am behind. At some point, I plan on catching up with all of this and actually maybe get ahead. Let's be real, that's not going to happen. Among classes, work, church, and attempting to find time to socialize, my days are jam-packed. However, I wouldn't have it any other way. I would go insane out of my mind if I had more than about an hour of free time.
Having all of this going on at one time is just going to teach me how to better manage my time. I was involved in a lot before coming to MC, but now I have started all over and must re-organize my time completely. I think that I will be alright though. I'm having an amazing time, meeting awesome friends, and learning more than I ever thought I would. I definitely think I'm going to like it here; I have so far. I'm ready for whatever God has for me, I just hope I can work all of the stuff I'm involved in around Him. Later days, God bless!

3. Spiritual Growth

Yes, I am running slightly behind on my blogs; I know. Either way, here goes nothing. Since I started at MC, I've been exposed to a lot of different beliefs. I have met many new people who view spiritual matters differently than I do. I have to say... I love it.
We can learn so much from each other. I love listening to what others believe. Although our views do not always coincide, it helps me to learn what all is out there that people think and believe. This will help me greatly in the future as I continue my ministry. I am not sure where God is leading me right now, but I am positive that every experience that I have at MC is helping me grow closer to Him.
I feel like God is leading me into youth ministry soon. God called me to ministry when I was 13 and now He is beginning to reveal to me in what areas I am supposed to be going. I would like to ask for prayer. Lately I have been struggling with a lot of things, both in my relationship with God and in my life in general. I ask that you would be praying for God to draw me close to Him and for me to always remember that I am in his grasp no matter what is going on around me. Until next time, God bless!

2. New Job and Such

This week I started my new job at the Station. I'm not sure exactly what the future is going to hold for me there, but I love the job so far. This week I learned a ton about the system that we use and the computer programs. I learned how to convert music and format it into a type that we can use to play. I'm definitely thinking that I'm going to like working at the Station and that the contacts that I will make while I am there will be invaluable to me.

I also got to learn some more about the clubs from some of the actives this week. I talked to several of the guys from Shawreth and learned a lot about what they do and the character of the guys who are involved in it. I'm definitely thinking that I'm going to rush and will hopefully get Shawreth. Whatever happens, I know I'm going to have a great time and meet a lot of new folks.

I also have a request. I woke up Friday morning and was sick as a dog. I missed all four of my classes that day. If any of you reading this are in any of those Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes with me, I would greatly appreciate being able to borrow any notes that were taken while I was absent.

The First Full Week of Classes

This week as all of you know, was the first full week of classes. As I progressed through the first full week, I had to get used to going to five days of classes in a row again. I'm still not necessarily thrilled about this. I personally wouldn't be opposed to a four day school week. I think it would be great to have Mondays off.
This week I met a lot of new people playing ultimate frisbee. I love playing ultimate frisbee, and apparently so do a lot of other people that go to Mississippi College. Thus, what better way to meet new people than to get out and play ultimate with them. For me, this was a great experience that helped me grow socially.
I hope that in the future I will have many more experiences such as the one I had playing ultimate frisbee. Getting together with people to do things like ultimate frisbee is a great way to meet new people and get closer to the ones you already know. I hope you have a great week coming up. I'm a freshman at Mississippi College, which I have come to discover is one of the most amazing places on Earth.
